PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing technique capable of accurate alignment between images different from each other in focal position.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus comprises: photographing means which takes plural sheets of images different from each other in focal position; blurring amount calculation means which calculates blurring amounts of the images taken by the photographing means; filtering means which filters original images in accordance with the blurring amounts calculated by the blurring calculation means; and positional deviation amount detection means which detects positional deviation amount between the images different from each other in focal position, using the images filtered by the filtering means.
