PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect an identical moving subject between images in which rolling shutter distortion occurs in different directions.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus comprises: an imaging device 14 for imaging with a rolling shutter system; imaging device drive means 181 for performing first reading scanning for reading pixel signals by scanning horizontal scanning lines downward and second reading scanning for reading the pixel signals by scanning the horizontal scanning lines upward; and generation means which uses either image data generated by the first reading scanning or image data generated by the second reading scanning to generate, on the basis of predetermined conditions, a template for detecting the position of a moving subject moving relatively with respect to the imaging surface of the imaging device from the other image data. |
