PURPOSE: A portable terminal and a direct call method are provided to connect a direct call to an entity included in an entity list corresponding to a key word. CONSTITUTION: A keyword receiving unit(110) receives a keyword by using a searching interface of a portable terminal. An entity search unit(160) searches an entity list including address information of an entity related to the keyword. A call connecting unit(170) skips the display of an entity list related to the keyword. The call connecting unit connects a call with an entity included in the entity list. The entity searching unit searches address information of the entity according to the order of an extended database and a personal address database.
