PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a columnar body elevating machine the posture of which is more suitably maintained and thus the smooth movement of which is secured even when the columnar body to be elevated is variable in diameter.SOLUTION: A columnar body elevating machine is structured as follows: each of wheel support devices 5 has a pair of right and left support arms 16 (16L, 16R) to independently support two wheels 7 (7L, 7R), so as to make each of the wheels 7 (7L, 7R) abut on the outer circumferential surface 10a of a tree trunk 10 at positions separating from each other in a circumferential direction; and each of the wheel support devices 5 makes respective support arms 16 (16L, 16R) synchronously operated symmetrically so that the traces of the respective wheels 7 (7L, 7R) abutting on the outer circumferential surface 10a intersect with each other at the axis center P0 of the tree trunk 10. |
