PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that it is necessary to have an impact energy absorbing member in addition to resin components so as to further obtain an impact energy absorbing load though shock energy is absorbed by the resin components.SOLUTION: In a position adjusting type steering column device for a vehicle which keeps an outer column fit with an inner column in a slidable manner, and can adjust an axial position of the inner column relative to the outer column by making a diameter of an inner circumferential surface of the outer column contracted and expanded, a bush is fixed to the inner circumferential surface of the outer column, and an inner diameter side projection whose inner diameter is gradually reduced as it goes to the depth is formed on a part sliding with the outer circumference part of the inner column and located at not less than the telescopic operation range of the bush. |
