PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce loads in an operation for setting information necessary for an alternative tray that is a paper feed source of output paper density adjustment, and setting mistakes.SOLUTION: When performing output paper density adjustment for adjusting printer γ characteristics by measuring density of a patch printed on paper by a color sensor 32, an image forming apparatus copies information of specific items such as the type of paper that is set to a paper feed tray (original tray) designated in a print job, and sets the copied information to an alternative tray. The image forming apparatus performs the output paper density adjustment by supplying paper from the alternative tray, and using information (the types of paper and correction data of a density sensor) that is set to the alternative tray. |
