<p>This light emitting apparatus is configured of a substrate for a light emitting element, and the light emitting element. The light emitting apparatus has, out of the two main surfaces of the substrate, one main surface as a mounting surface, said two main surfaces being on the opposite sides of the substrate, and the light emitting element is mounted on the mounting surface. The substrate is provided with a protection element for the light emitting element, said protection element including a voltage-dependent resistive layer embedded in the substrate, and a first electrode and a second electrode, which are connected to the voltage-dependent resistive layer. The light emitting element is mounted such that the light emitting element overlaps the voltage-dependent resistive layer, and furthermore, a reflecting layer is provided on the substrate and/or the voltage-dependent resistive layer. The reflecting layer is provided adjacent to the first electrode that is provided in contact with the voltage-dependent resistive layer surface exposed from the substrate.</p> |
