PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device that allows an image focused on a subject pointed by a photographer upon photographing to be captured right after photographing without re-focus processing in an imaging measure allowing the re-focus processing to obtain an in-focus image at an arbitrary position in a photographing screen.SOLUTION: The imaging device comprises: an image pick-up element; a photographing lens including a focus lens movable in an optical axis for focusing; pupil division means for limiting a flux of light incident on pixels on the image pick-up element to a specific pupil region of the photographing lens only; means for giving a shift different for each pupil region having passed to an electric signal obtained from the image pick-up element; means for adding by multiplying the electric signal obtained from the shift giving means by an appropriate positive value; correlation calculation means for calculating correlation of the images having passed the different pupil regions; control means for driving the focus lens to receive light of a subject image at a plurality of positions in an in-focus state; and determination means for determining a main subject from a result of the correlation calculation means. The control means drives the focus lens at the plurality of positions in the in-focus state including the main subject determined by the determination means to receive the light of the subject image. |
