PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear grinding machine capable of shortening a setup time of workpiece exchange between an external gear to be processed and an internal gear to be processed.SOLUTION: A gear grinding machine 1 configured to achieve rotation phase matching between a grinding wheel 13 and workpieces Wa, Wb prior to engaging the grinding wheel 13 with the workpieces Wa, Wb before grinding, includes: a sensor 61 which detects rotation phases of the workpieces Wa, Wb in a rotating state; a sensor fitting member 40 which swivels the sensor 61 between a detection position P1 for an external gear and a detection position P1 for an internal gear; and a turning arm 27 which turns the sensor 61 fitted to the sensor fitting member 40 between the detection positions P1 and retreat positions P2 for the external gear and the internal gear. |
