PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor module which permits a snubber capacitor to be mounted easily in close proximity to a switching element.SOLUTION: In a semiconductor module 1, at least two switching elements 10 and 11 are connected in series and snubber capacitors 12A and 12B are connected in parallel to this series connection. The snubber capacitors 12A and 12B are held in place between a cathode side heat radiation plate 13 and an anode side heat radiation plate 14, in which construction the snubber capacitors 12A and 12B are supported from under by either one of the cathode side heat radiation plate 13 and the anode side heat radiation plate 14. It is preferable that the mounting direction of the switching elements 10 and 11 and the connection direction of the snubber capacitors 12A and 12B are matched to be the same. |
