PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device having wide viewing angel is provided to enhance viewing angle characteristic in diagonal direction including a plurality of twin axis type optical films. CONSTITUTION: A first polarizing plate(250) and a second polarizing plate(260) are located in upper and lower part of a liquid crystal panel(201) and make a income light to be polarized. Negative A-film(244) changes polarization state of a light by locating between the liquid panel and the second polarization plate. If a negative A-film, phase difference value of horizontal direction is Re=-150~-30nm and phase difference value of thickness direction is Rth=-60~0nm. In a positive biaxial film(246), phase difference value of horizontal direction is Re=180~240nm and phase difference value of thickness direction is Rth=-60~0nm. |
