PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device of an internal combustion engine, configured to properly absorb ammonia in a NOx purification catalyst.SOLUTION: To an engine 1, an SCR catalyst 41 is provided which purifies NOx by adding urea water. A control device 80 adds the urea water until the amount of absorbed ammonia of the SCR catalyst 41 reaches a target amount set on the basis of a temperature of the SCR catalyst 41. In addition, the control device 80 increases a target amount of absorbed ammonia set during fuel cut more than a target amount set during fuel injection. |
