PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably pressurize vibrators against a driven body with a simple structure in an ultrasonic motor which drives the driven body utilizing elliptical vibrations generated by the vibrators.SOLUTION: An ultrasonic motor includes: vibrators 102, 103 generating elliptical vibrations; a driven body 101 driven by the vibrators; holding means holding the vibrators; and pressurization means 108, 109 pressurizing the vibrators against the driven body. The ultrasonic motor drives the driven body utilizing the elliptical vibrations of the vibrators. The holding means is composed of: first holding members 104 holding the vibrators; and a second holding member 106 pressurizing the vibrators against the driven body. The first holding members and the second holding member may move in a direction perpendicular to a contact surface between the vibrators and the driven body. |
