Microbiological testing system

A biological testing system for identifying the presence of bacteria on equipment, specifically endoscopes, comprising an air distribution apparatus 10 to provide at least one air path 17 to allow air which has been exposed to the equipment to pass over a culture medium 32. The system is preferably used for the determination of bacteria on endoscopes within storage cabinets and consists of a cassette (20) housing the culture medium which is inserted into the test apparatus which is connected to the air flow channels.
