<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for manufacturing a styrenated bisphenol compound of high purity which is a precursor before addition of an alkylene oxide of a bis-polyoxyalkylene polycyclic phenyl ether compound. <P>SOLUTION: When the styrenated bisphenol compound represented by chemical formula 3 is obtained by causing a bisphenol compound to react with a styrene compound in the presence of an acid catalyst, the reaction system is heated in a state where 5-100 mass% of the styrene compound is initially charged and the reaction is progressed at a reaction temperature of 70&deg;C or higher and lower than 140&deg;C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&amp;INPIT</p> |
