<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power steering device reducing loads of a hydraulic power steering device in a steering limit by operating and controlling an electric power steering device. <P>SOLUTION: An ECU 44 controls the operation of the electric power steering device 30 to generate a steering assist force in an opposite direction of a steering assist force by the hydraulic power steering device 20 in the vicinity of the steering limit of the steering wheel 11 when the difference value between a steering angle θ detected by a steering angle sensor 41 and the mechanically determined steering limit (end steering angle θe) of the steering wheel 11 is smaller than a determination value determined in advance. As a result, the steering speed of the wheel 11 in the vicinity of the steering limit can be reduced.
