A heat exchanger (1) is provided with the following: a first fluid flow path (3) formed inside a heat transfer block (2); a second fluid flow path (4) formed inside the heat transfer block (2); and a passage (5) formed inside the heat transfer block (2). A barrier (6) between the second fluid flow path (4) and the passage (5) is formed thinner than a barrier between the first fluid flow path (3) and the second fluid flow path (4).
