The die unit (1) has a die head (2), which has an inner clamping sleeve (20) with conical outer contour, which has a receptacle for accommodating a die (10). The outer contour of the die is aligned to the contour of a recess of the inner clamping sleeve such that the die is inserted in the recess through an inlet opening of the inner clamping sleeve. The inner clamping sleeve is clamped in an outer clamping sleeve (30) by compression and thus the die is clamped in the inner clamping sleeve.
