PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass plate edge face inspection device capable of performing accurate edge inspection without inviting a damage of an edge even in a glass plate having a different size.SOLUTION: In a glass plate edge inspection device including carrying means 1 for carrying a glass plate G while supporting the glass plate G upward and imaging means for imaging both edges of the glass plate G in a width direction perpendicular to a carrying direction of the carrying mean 1, the carrying means 1 includes a main support part 2 having an inspection space 5 at a position corresponding to the imaging means, and an auxiliary support part 3 for moving between a support position for supplementarily supporting the glass plate G in the inspection space 5 and a retreat position retreated from the support position.
