PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out smooth casting by suppressing a cast material such as aluminum from reacting to a flow divider made of copper, and to effectively reduce a cycle time by significantly enhancing cooling efficiency of the flow divider. SOLUTION: In the casting method, a molten metal is fed into a cavity 2 inside a die 1 through the flow divider 50 arranged at a molten metal introducing section of a casting die. An outer shell 51 of the flow divider 50 is made of copper or a copper alloy and contacts with the molten metal. The temperature of the cavity of the die is set at a designated temperature during an initial stage of casting, and casting is performed setting the temperature of the flow divider 50 at 65°C or lower in the initial stage of casting.
