PURPOSE: The electrolyte for nickel-hydride battery is provided to improve the performance of the battery, and to reduce the cost by minimizing raw material and application accessories. CONSTITUTION: The electrolyte for nickel-hydride battery comprises lithium salt of 0.35-1.0M and sodium hydroxide of 5-10M. The electrolyte includes more than one additive selected from among carbonate, vinylene carbonate, divinylsulfone, and ethylene sulfite selected from the group composed of halogen, cyano group, and nitro group. The nickel-hydride battery comprises: the anode in which an anode active material is coated; the cathode in which hydrogen storage alloy is contained and a cathode active material is coated; and the above electrolyte.
