PURPOSE: A control device and a control signal generating method thereof are provided to accurately generate a control signal by analyzing a relation between a space vector and a carrier base. CONSTITUTION: A rectifier converts a 3-phase AC voltage into a DC voltage. An inverter outputs the DC voltage into a 3-phase voltage. A modulation signal generating unit (503) generates a modulation signal having one or more polarities. A carrier signal generating unit (511) generates a carrier signal. A comparing unit (513) compares the modulation signal with the carrier signal.
