<p>A crawler type welding robot apparatus for curved blocks is provided to promptly weld a boundary part between the skin member and the transverse member without a separate balancing device while the welding robot apparatus is autonomously driven in a space divided by a transverse member and a longitudinal member welded to a base metal skin member that forms a lower part of a curved block. A crawler type welding robot apparatus for curved blocks comprises: a crawler type transfer equipment(1) for autonomously driving a skin member formed to the same curvature as that of a lower part of a curved block; an articulated welding robot(2) mounted on an upper part of the crawler type transfer equipment to perform a welding operation; and a traction unit(3) which is joined with the crawler type transfer equipment and the articulated welding robot to support a load thereof, and which is connected to a working bridge by a rope(4) at one point in an upper part of the traction unit to pull up or transfer the working bridge. The traction unit includes: four posts or frames(31) installed perpendicularly to respective corners of the articulated welding robot such that the frames are not interfered with movements of respective joint arms of the articulated welding robot; and four frames(32) gathered to one point above the four posts or frames to gather frames connected to the four posts or frames in a quadrangular pyramid shape such that the frames are clamped and pulled by the rope at the one point.</p> |
