PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning robot that can achieve improvement in convenience.SOLUTION: A cleaning robot 1 includes: a body casing 2 that is self-propelled and formed into an almost symmetrical shape in a plane view by a line K of symmetry parallel to an advancing direction during direct advance; an obstacle detecting part 51 that is disposed on the line K of symmetry of the body casing 2 and detects an obstacle ahead of the cleaning robot and on the route; a camera 52 that is disposed on the peripheral surface of the body casing 2; and a communication part 56 that transmits an image photographed by the camera 52. When the obstacle detecting part 51 detects an obstacle and when the body casing 2 collides with the obstacle, the body casing 2 is rotated in a predetermined forward direction R1. The camera 52 is arranged to be displaced to the side opposite to the forward direction R1 with respect to the line K of symmetry. |
