PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for forming a seal part while protecting a membrane electrode assembly in a fuel cell manufacturing step.SOLUTION: A film electrode diffusion layer assembly 10, in which gas diffusion layers 12, 13 are arranged on both sides of a film electrode assembly 11, is prepared. A resin member 41 is arranged on an outer surface at an outer peripheral end of the film electrode assembly 11 projecting from an outer peripheral end of a cathode side gas diffusion layer 12, and the film electrode diffusion layer assembly 10 and the resin member 41 are nipped by two separators 20, 30. Then, the two separators 20, 30 are pressed in a nipping direction and heated. Thereby, the resin member 41 is thermally molten, so as to integrally adhere the film electrode diffusion layer assembly 10 to the respective separators 20, 30, and form an adhesive seal part 40 sealing an outer periphery of the film electrode diffusion layer assembly 10. |
