PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for preserving citrus fruits which is capable of stably maintaining the freshness of citrus fruits over a long period of time, and a method of preserving citrus fruits using the apparatus.SOLUTION: An apparatus for preserving citrus fruits, includes a box 1 for housing citrus fruits A, an air vent 4 provided in the box 1, a humidifier 10 for keeping humidity inside the box 1 at a predetermined level, and a fine-particle water emitter 20 for emitting fine-particle water into air in the box 1 where humidity is maintained by the humidifier 10. Stress is imparted to the skin of the citrus fruits A by the fine-particle water emitted into the box 1, so as to keep the antioxidant content of the skin from dropping. |
