<p>A bicycle storage unit comprising: at least one base portion 20 comprising at least one abutment 21 for a wheel of a bicycle 1; and an upright portion 30 comprising at least one receiving means 31 adapted to receive a portion of a wheel of a bicycle 1, the receiving means 31 of the upright portion 30 being set at a distance from the abutment(s) 21, wherein the storage unit comprises at least one anchor point for a locking arm 40. In one embodiment, the upright portion 30 comprises a series of discrete dividers providing the receiving means therebetween. A bicycle may be stored horizontally or with one wheel vertically above the other. The storage unit may be self-supporting, and may be enclosed in a housing or shelter.
