PURPOSE: A water purifying device is provided to stably purify rivers or lakes without a separate site by comprising a contact bath built on the bottom of the rivers or lakes, a bio-membrane carrier which the contact bath is filled with, and water current inducing walls. CONSTITUTION: A water purifying device comprises a bio-membrane carrier (20). The bio-membrane carrier forms a riverside for a river or a lakeside for a lake. Microorganisms are propagated by being attached on the bio-membrane carrier. The bio-membrane carrier is formed by bonding granular materials of predetermined diameters using an inorganic or organic adhesive. Pores are formed between the bonded granular materials in order to apply porosity to the bio-membrane carrier. One side of the bio-membrane carrier has a watertight structure, and a porous panel with a high specific surface area is arranged on the other side of the bio-membrane carrier. The bio-membrane carrier comprises filaments. The device further comprises a water current generating device. |
