PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate a life of a speed reducer of each axis of a robot, based on a robot operation program.SOLUTION: A simulator (10) for estimating a life of a robot speed reducer includes: a rotation speed and load calculation unit (21) for executing an operation program of a robot (12) by simulation and calculating the rotation speed of the speed reducers (G1-Gm) of the respective axes of the robot and the load exerted on the speed reducers of the respective axes for each sampling period; a memory unit (22) for chronologically correlating the calculated rotation speed of the speed reducers of the respective axes and the load exerted on the speed reducers of the respective axes and storing the rotation speed and the load; a speed reducer life calculation unit (23) for calculating the life of the speed reducers of the respective axes, based on the rotation speed of the speed reducers of the respective axes and the load exerted on the speed reducers of the respective axes; an operating time ratio setting unit (24) for setting an operating time ratio of the robot; and a speed reducer life estimation unit (25) for estimating the life of the speed reducers, based on the life of the speed reducers of the respective axes and the operating time ratio. |
