PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to easily input a character string that suits the user's preference and peculiarity.SOLUTION: In an information processing device for performing character input processing according to operation due to an operation unit including a plurality of alphabetic keys for inputting kana characters, which are switchable for inputting another type of characters, an analysis is made, for more than one type of definite forms determined on the basis of a form of a character string to be determined, on the frequency of occurrence of each definite form in a character string group determined within a past prescribed period. On the basis of the analysis result, settings are configured for prioritizing an input of a character string of a form corresponding to a definite form that predominantly appears. For example, with respect to each character type of numerical characters, alphabetical characters and katakana characters, evaluation values of the frequency of occurrence are compared between a definite form determined in one-byte character and a definite form determined in double-byte character so that an input mode corresponding to a definite form with a higher evaluation value is invoked by input mode switching operation. |
