<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase an energy quantity to be stored in a capacitor, and to decrease capacities of the capacitor and an input AC power supply. <P>SOLUTION: The power supply 1 includes an input AC power supply 10, a converter 40 to convert an AC voltage at the input power supply 10 to a DC voltage, a converter controlling means 70 for controlling to rise the DC voltage outputted from the converter 40, an inverter 60 to invert the DC voltage supplied from the converter 40 to the AC voltage to supply current to a motor 120, and an energy-storage capacitor 50 connected between the converter 40 and the inverter 60 to store an electric energy. From this configuration, the DC voltage rises in the converter 40. Consequently, the voltage rises across the terminal of the energy-storage capacitor 50, resulting in an increase in the energy quantity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
