PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a space for arranging a bearing that directly supports a drive shaft.SOLUTION: A variable valve gear includes: a drive shaft which revolves synchronously with a crankshaft included an internal combustion engine; a camshaft which includes a cam lobe and a first engaging groove and is disposed rotatably around the drive shaft; and a drive arm part which is disposed on the drive shaft and revolves together with the drive shaft and has a second engaging groove. The variable valve gear also includes: a control sleeve which has an eccentric hole formed therein and changes the position of the axis of the eccentric hole; and a drive disk which slides along an inner circumferential wall surface of the eccentric hole and has a drive pin inserted into the first engaging groove and the second engaging groove to slide within the first engaging groove and the second engaging groove. Thus, a mechanism for changing an operation angle can be configured to be compact, which ensures a space to arrange a bearing that directly supports the drive shaft. |
