PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate a motor constant of an AC motor and obtain a rated torque current and a rated exciting current as a control constant required for vector control of the AC motor.SOLUTION: A motor characteristic measurement section 15 controls to change a ratio of voltage to frequency for a power conversion section 2 that varies the voltage and frequency of electric power of an AC power supply to be supplied to the AC motor 3. In first and second measurement modes, primary resistance, combined resistance and combined leakage inductance of the AC motor 3 are measured. Additionally, in a third measurement mode, a motor characteristic of the AC motor 3 is obtained from a calculation result of exciting inductance, rated torque current and rated exciting current of the AC motor 3. |
