The catheter (1) has a catheter tube (10) and a fixation device (20) which is provided at a distance from the distal end (11) of the catheter for mechanical fixation of the catheter in the tissue of human or animal organ. The fixation device is arranged in the distal end at a distance of 1/10 to 1/3 of the length of the catheter. The fixation device is formed by a stent comprising a mesh formed from hollow cylinder portion (21).
