The method involves injecting fuel in the form of a directing jet (4) into each of combustion chambers (1) of a diesel engine by a tube (3), where the tube is placed in the center of each chamber. An aqueous solution is injected in the form of another directing jet (6) into each chamber by another tube (5), where the jet of the aqueous solution is directed on the trajectory of the fuel jet, and the latter tube is placed in the vicinity of a wall (2) of each chamber. The aqueous solution includes only water, or includes a mixture of water and urea.
