PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress enlargement and high weight of a head unit and rationally obtain mounting accuracy.SOLUTION: A component mounting apparatus includes: a head unit 6 where ten mounting heads 16 are mounted; a first nozzle rotating drive mechanism for rotating the five mounting head 16 (first to third front row heads 17a-17c and first and third back row heads 18a and 18c); and a second nozzle rotating drive mechanism for rotating the five remaining mounting heads 16. The first nozzle rotating drive mechanism comprises: a first R axis servo motor 20; a first right side transmission belt 26A stretched over the first front row head 17a, the first and third back row heads 18a and 18c (heads of a first group), and the output shaft 20a of the motor 20; and a second right side transmission belt 26B having a total length shorter than that of the belt 26A and stretched over the first and third front row heads 17a and 17c (heads of a second group), and the output shaft 20a of the motor 20. |
