PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silent, more durable brush motor that ensures insulation between brushes.SOLUTION: A brush motor includes: a commutator 9 that is fixed to a shaft; a pair of brushes 5 and 6 that are brought into sliding contact with a circumferential surface of the commutator 9; a first torsion spring 7 and a second torsion spring 8 that press the brushes 5 and 6, respectively, toward the commutator 9; a support plate 10 to which the springs 7 and 8 are attached; and a spring 12 that supports the support plate 10. The support plate 10 is configured so as to be rotatable around the spring 12, or so as to be supported at alterable positions by the spring 12, in such a manner that the springs 7 and 8 press the brushes 5 and 6, respectively, with uniform force. |
