PURPOSE: A reprogramming controller for a self-recovery type vehicle is provided to convert the main MICOM of the controller, which reprogramming software is included, into a boot mode, which uses external communication, through a secondary MICOM, thereby recovering the errors of the main MICOM by itself. CONSTITUTION: A main MICOM (2) has a reprogramming communication protocol for the communication between reprogramming software and an external diagnosis device (10). The main MICOM is reprogrammed according to the reprogramming communication protocol for the communication with the external diagnosis device. When the reprogramming software of the main MICOM is abnormal, a secondary MICOM (5) changes the boot mode of the main MICOM into the boot mode capable of external communication and resets the same. The secondary MICOM changes the boot mode of the main MICOM into an original state and resets the same.
