PURPOSE: A positioning apparatus capable of using the location information of AP(Access Point) is provided to check a distance from the AP by using a weighting factor and an identifier. CONSTITUTION: A positioning apparatus comprises an RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indicator) receiver(11), an identifier receiver(12), a distance determining unit(13), a weight estimator(14), and a side position part(15). The RSSI receiver receives RSSI from a plurality of wireless connection apparatus. The identifier receiver receives an identifier distinguishing a plurality of APs from a plurality of APs. The distance determining unit determines each of the distance of the plurality of APs by using the received RSSI. The weight estimator determines weights which are given to each of the coordinate of the plurality of APs by using the determined distance of the plurality of APs. The side position part determines the distance from AP by using the weight and the identifier.
