PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent input/output processing from stagnating even when download processing of IOCFW is executed in parallel with input/output processing to a disk device.SOLUTION: A storage system 2 includes: a disk 5 for storing data and a CM4 for executing the control of data to the disk 5. The CM4 includes: an IOC43 for processing a command relating to the input/output of data; and a control part 46 for, when a download request of an IOCFW431 for controlling the IOC43 is made, searching the number of issuable commands corresponding to the allowable response delay time of the command during downloading on the basis of information stored in a response delay time table 451, and for, when the number of commands which are being issued during the download of the IOCFW431 is equal to or more than the searched number of issuable commands, restricting the issuance of a command that has newly requested to be issued. |
