<p>PURPOSE: An approach warning system for helicopters is provided to perform operation with the same basic frequency or different basic frequencies by scanning surroundings of a helicopter in a horizontal direction. CONSTITUTION: An approach warning system for helicopters includes a roof structure, a main rotor, a main rotor head (20), a standard housing (25), and radar units (1-3). Radar units transmit a microwave and receive a reflected wave of the microwave from an obstacle. The radar units are combined with an engine cover of a helicopter adjacent to the main rotor head of the helicopter or installed in the standard housing fixed under the main rotor head. The radar units scan surroundings of the helicopter in a horizontal direction. The radar units are operated with the same basic frequency or different basic frequencies.</p> |
