PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current detection apparatus capable of accurately detecting the magnitude of a current flowing in a circuit while suppressing a power loss or manufacturing costs.SOLUTION: A current detection apparatus 1 for detecting a current flowing in a circuit 10 comprises a magnetic core 32 in which a gap G is provided partially, of which two end faces 32c are confronted with the gap G interposed therebetween, and in which vicinities 32b of two end faces are tapered toward the gap G, respectively, a coil L which is provided as a part of the circuit 10 and configured by winding a lead wire around the magnetic core 32, a magnetic detection section 40 which is disposed in the gap G of the magnetic core 32 and detects the intensity of a magnetic field which is generated between the two end faces 32c while the coil L is electrified, and a current detection section 14 which detects the magnitude of the current flowing in the circuit 10 in accordance with the intensity of the magnetic field detected by the magnetic detection section 40. |
