PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power unit of construction machine which can supply a stabilized voltage economically to a low voltage load such as an engine electronic controller, by eliminating the problems of operation failure, high cost, and the like, of a converter when a converter is used in order to step down a power supply voltage for a low voltage load, and the problems of impairment, deterioration, and the like, of a battery when taking out a low voltage from one of batteries connected in series.SOLUTION: A battery device 2 includes an upper battery 4 and a lower battery 5 of identical voltage specifications connected in series, a generator 6 having output terminals connected with the upper battery 4 out of the upper and lower batteries 4 and 5, and a converter 8 connected with the output terminal of the generator 6 and delivering the output voltage, while converting into half, to a series connection midpoint M of the upper and lower batteries 4 and 5. The low voltage load, i.e., an engine electronic controller 10, is connected with the series connection midpoint M. |
