PURPOSE: An antibiotic decomposing material containing metal nitrate is provided to implement a decomposing process with respect to non-degradable products such as tetracycline-based antibiotics based on the minimum amount of material. CONSTITUTION: An antibiotic decomposing material containing metal nitrate decomposes tetracycline-based antibiotics. The tetracycline-based antibiotics are contained in livestock excrements or wastewater. The tetracycline-based antibiotics are one or more selected from tetracycline hydrochloride, chlorotetracycline hydrochloride, and tetracyclone hydrate. The metal nitrate is selected from Fe(NO_3)_3, Al(NO_3)_3, and Cu(NO_3)_2. A method for decomposing the tetracycline-based antibiotics includes the following: the antibiotic decomposing material is mixed with the tetracycline-based antibiotics to form a mixture; the mixture is left at a temperature between 45 and 80 degrees Celsius. The mixture of the antibiotic decomposing material and the tetracycline-based antibiotics are the weight ratio of 1:1 to 1:5. |
