PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum type washing machine in which washing performances are improved, washing time is reduced, and energy saving in washing is achieved by sufficiently floating dirt out of laundry before exfoliating the dirt.SOLUTION: The drum type washing machine includes: a rotary drum 3 that is rotatably arranged in a water-receiving tub 2 and is for housing laundry; a motor 4 for driving the rotary drum 3; and control means 14 for controlling each process. In a washing process, a centrifugal force washing in which the rotary drum 3 rotates at such a rotational frequency that the centrifugal force of the rotating rotational drum 3 becomes greater than the gravity force is executed for a plurality of times for a predetermined time. When the final centrifugal force washing is completed, draining means is operated without decreasing the rotational frequency, and the step shifts to an intermediate dewatering step in a rinsing process. |
