PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface acoustic wave sensor capable of facilitating the detection of a specimen.SOLUTION: A surface acoustic wave sensor related to one embodiment of the present invention includes: a piezoelectric element substrate for propagating a surface acoustic wave; electrodes for performing conversion between an electric signal and the surface acoustic wave; a detection area that is arranged in a propagation path of the surface acoustic wave and to which a liquid being a specimen is introduced; and a porous base material that has contact with the detection area and where the liquid permeates by a capillary phenomenon. |
