PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planar lighting device capable of reducing light leakage from vicinity of an incident surface of a light guide plate and improving luminance uniformity of illumination light.SOLUTION: A planar lighting device 10 is provided with an LED 11, an FPC 31 mounted with an LED 11, and a light guide plated 21 having an incident surface 22 and an emission surface 25. The light guide plate 21 includes an inclined part 27 of which the thickness decreases gradually from the incident surface 22 side to a front side, and on a slope 27a side of the inclined part 27 and a region excluding the front part of the LED 11, there is formed a pedestal 29 having a receiving surface where the FPC 31 is arranged. Then, since the receiving surface of the pedestal 29 includes a first surface 29a formed on an incident surface 22 side and a second surface 29b formed in front of the first surface 29a and inclining frontward from a first surface 29a side to an inclined part 27 side, progressing of leaked light from the slope 27a to an emission surface 25 side is blocked and luminance uniformity of illumination light can be improved. |
