STARTER MOTOR RELAY CONTROL SYSTEM FOR SAFE STARTING

PURPOSE: A control system of a starter motor relay for safety start is provided to determine whether or not the present condition of a vehicle satisfies a driving condition for a starter motor securing the safety of devices and a driver and to connect the relay through an electronic control unit (ECU) when the condition of the vehicle satisfies the driving condition. CONSTITUTION: A control system of a starter motor relay for safety start determines whether or not the present condition of a vehicle satisfies a driving condition for a starter motor securing the safety of devices and a driver using an electronic control unit (ECU). When the condition of the vehicle satisfies the driving condition, the system controls the relay to be connected through the ECU. The driving condition includes: an engine is normally stopped; when a start switch is placed on a key-on position shortly before starting the vehicle, engine revolutions per minute (RPM) is below engine RPM in which the off condition of the relay mapped by coolant temperature is released; a cranking condition signal (start condition signal) provided to a transmission control unit (TCU) is in a normal condition; an abnormal signal for urgently stopping the engine is not generated; and a fuel injection unit outputs a normal signal.
