This disclosure is directed to techniques for detecting one or more indications of rotational movement of a rotatable member. According to one example, at least one movement sensor is associated with the rotatable member and is configured to detect at least one measurement of rotational motion of the rotatable member. The at least one movement sensor is configured to be powered via at least one photoelectric element secured to the rotatable member. The at least one movement sensor is configured to communicate the at least one indication of the detected at least one measurement from the rotatable member via at least one wireless communications module associated with the rotatable member and powered via the at least one photoelectric element. |
