<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly attain steering lock and to enhance stability of output of a torque sensor. <P>SOLUTION: The electric power steering device 1 as the steering device for the vehicle has a cylindrical steering column 35 for rotatably supporting a steering shaft 3 through a first bearing 36 and a second bearing 37; a torque sensor 20; a cylindrical member 44 arranged between a central position CP between the first bearing 36 and the second bearing 37 and the second bearing 37 and retained to the steering shaft 3 for engaging a lock pin 42 for a steering lock; and a deflection restriction member 45 interposed between an outer periphery 114 of the cylindrical member 44 and an inner periphery 119 of a second tube 57 of a column tube 53 of a steering column 35 and restricting deflection of the steering shaft 3 relative to the steering column 35 through the cylindrical member 44. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
